2019 3-star inside linebacker Charles Thomas is taking his talents to New England.
The Fairburn, Georgia native is transferring from IMG Academy in Bradenton, Florida to St. Thomas More of Oakdale, Connecticut, according to his now head coach Jeff Moore.

The 6-foot, 222-pounder holds 11 offers, most notably from Clemson, Oregon, Tennessee and West Virginia. Thomas remains “rock solid” in his Michigan commitment per 247’s Corey Bender.
Thomas is ranked No. 405 in the nation, No. 17 at inside linebacker and No. 5 from Georgia, according to the 247Sports composite.
St. Thomas More looks to be a considerable step down from IMG in competition level. Whereas his former school plays defending state champions such as Mater Dei (Santa Ana, California) and St. John’s College (Washington, D.C.), his new program faces a smattering of decent East Coast prep schools.
He joins 2019 4-star defensive back Tyler Rudolph, who was considering the Wolverines before committing to Penn State in May.
They take the field Sept. 15 for the Chancellor’s opener against Choate Rosemary Hall (Wallingford, Conn.). St. Thomas More looks to improve upon their 6-3 record from 2017.
