Even though Michigan coaches were mainly on the West Coast this week, they still found the time to send one out East. Pennsylvania 4-star linebacker Nikhai Hill-Green received his offer on Wednesday, and it may not have been coincidental.

Hill-Green says he knew he had an offer because Anthony Campanile and Boston College had offered him last year. The Michigan staff confirmed that this week when they contacted Hill-Green’s current coaches.

The 6-foot-1, 208-pounder won’t have to wait long to meet the coaches in person.

“I’ll talk to them on Saturday at their junior day,” Hill-Green said.

Hill-Green stated he has several criteria he’s looking for on his visit.

“What position they can see me playing, what the campus and facilities are like and if they have all the majors that I am interested in,” Hill-Green explained. “Coaches have said they can see me playing multiple positions, so when I figure out a position where I can have a huge impact, I will learn and try to perfect that position.”

Hill-Green played middle linebacker for his high school team, but is listed on 247Sports as an outside linebacker. Given he’s going to be talking to Michigan coaches, you can bet Viper is going to be brought up as well.

Besides Michigan, Hill-Green said he’s intrigued by Duke, Vanderbilt and Ohio State as well. Those schools reveal his emphasis on academics, and he’s considering some interesting career paths.

Asked which majors he’s looking to see if a school offers, he replied, “Agriculture, nursing or graphic design.”

As for what’s next in his recruitment, Hill-Green said he doesn’t have any definitive plans.

“I don’t know yet, I want to get a feel for my options,” he said.

Michigan’s junior day on Saturday will be an important step.
