2020 5-star OT Myles Hinton commits to Stanford over Michigan

The frustrating news keeps on coming.

On Wednesday night, 2020 5-star offensive tackle and top Michigan target Myles Hinton made an unexpected commitment to the Stanford Cardinal over the Wolverines, per a video on his Twitter account.

This is obviously an enormous blow to Michigan, especially with how this week has transpired. Hinton is the No. 2 offensive tackle and No. 12 overall player in the 2020 class, according to 247Sports’ composite rankings.

His brother, defensive tackle Chris Hinton, just signed with the Wolverines in December. That connection was a large part of why Michigan was considered the favorites for the Georgia prospect.

One-hundred percent of the younger Hinton’s crystal balls were for Michigan before this surprising move.

The Cardinal were a part of Hinton’s top two, along with Michigan, but this is a tough pill to swallow. The staff still has plenty of highly talented players still on their board, but none ranked as high as Hinton.
