Michigan has made the cut for another touted prospect from the Sooner state. Following the Wolverines’ inclusion in Myles Slusher’s top 10 a few days ago, 4-star wide receiver Javian Hester did the same in his group of 10 schools on Monday.

Joining Michigan in Hester’s group is Arkansas, Baylor, Colorado, Georgia, Georgia Tech, Missouri, Ohio State, Ole Miss and Texas.
Like Slusher, in-state Oklahoma is nowhere to be found on Hester’s list. Oklahoma State is also missing, making it clear he is ready and willing to leave the state.
Standing 6-foot-4 and weighing 185 pounds, Hester caught 23 balls for 440 yards and four touchdowns as a junior, and 36 balls for 691 yards and six touchdowns as a sophomore. That production led him to be ranked 129th in the country and 23rd at wide receiver.
Michigan’s advantage in this race is his former Booker T. Washington teammate Daxton Hill, who signed with the Maize and Blue in 2019. That connection should help greatly in a group that honestly only has a few schools rivaling Michigan’s recruiting caliber.
