Another day, another prospect including Michigan in their top group of schools. This time it’s New Jersey 2020 3-star defensive end Aaron Lewis.

Lewis included Michigan alongside a trio of Big Ten powers in Ohio State, Penn State and Wisconsin, as well as West Virginia.

The 6-foot-5, 235-pound Lewis is ranked No. 420 in the nation on the composite and 21st at his position. He falls just outside of 4-star territory, but is a 4-star to 247.

As a junior, Lewis racked up 102 tackles, with 25 tackles for loss and six sacks. That stat line predictably caught Michigan’s eye, and the staff offered at the end of January.

Given it’s only been a couple months since the offer, Lewis hasn’t visited campus yet, but still obviously holds Michigan in high regard. I’d expect a trip, possibly even an official visit, soon.

Lewis recently visited Ohio State, and the only crystal ball pick is for West Virginia, so I’d say those are the two biggest competitors.
