Michigan missed out on one of its defensive line targets on Wednesday, as New Jersey 3-star Aaron Lewis committed to West Virginia over Michigan, Ohio State, Penn State and Wisconsin.

Lewis never visited Ann Arbor during his recruiting process, but nevertheless included Michigan in his top five at the end of March.
Defensive line is a position of need for the 2020 class, but luckily Michigan is in good shape with a handful of prospects. 4-star Braiden McGregor and Antwaun Powell and 3-star Van Fillinger are the most likely candidates to join the class at this point.
Last cycle, Michigan grabbed three players at the position, including 4-star David Ojabo, 3-star Gabe Newburg, and 4-star Mike Morris, who may move to defensive tackle as he grows.
