Another recruit just announced their commitment to Michigan. This time, it’s 3-star center Reece Atteberry out of Aurora, Colorado.

Atteberry was a surprise visitor this weekend, and it quickly became apparent this trip was meaningful. Both Ohio State and Notre Dame led this recruitment at one point, but their offensive line classes may have filled up, to Michigan’s benefit.
The 6-foot-5, 280-pound Atteberry is ranked as the No. 403 player in the country and No. 8 center, per the composite. 247Sports has him quite a bit higher, at No. 266 and No. 4, respectively, which puts him in 4-star range.
This is Michigan’s third commitment along the offensive line, and probably the last along the interior unless an elite talent like Andrew Raym wants to jump on board. I’d expect them to keep looking for one more true tackle, like Andrew Gentry or Jeffrey Persi, who were also visiting this weekend.
Following Michigan’s fourth public commitment of the day, its 2020 class nudges up to 13th in the country and stays at No. 2 in the Big Ten. There’s going to be plenty of more news trickling out in the aftermath of this weekend, so stay tuned with Maize n Brew to get the latest updates.
