What a crazy few days it’s been for Michigan football recruiting and it continues with another addition to the 2020 class.

Michigan offered prospect Gaige Garcia the chance to play football a few days ago, and on Monday morning he announced his commitment.

The 5-foot-10, 205-pound running back from Catawissa, Pennsylvania has 27 offers, according to 247Sports, and will enroll at Michigan to wrestle as a dual athlete. The offers included many smaller schools, with many in the Ivy League, but Michigan saw his talent up close recently and decided to give him a chance.

Garcia will both wrestle and play football at U-M. More on his situation can be found here in this story by FlowWresting.

His film shows how physical he can be with the opportunity to development at the next level.

He rushed for 2,042 yards and 38 touchdowns on 201 carries last season at Southern Columbia.

Michigan is currently at No. 13 overall in the 2020 recruiting cycle with 14 verbal commits.
