The good news keeps on rolling in for the Michigan Wolverines, as 2020 4-star wide receiver A.J. Henning committed to the Maize and Blue Wednesday afternoon.

Henning officially visited Ann Arbor last weekend for Michigan’s big recruiting event before the recruiting dead period, which lasts up until the BBQ at the Big House, more or less. It appears he bonded well with true freshman Mike Sainristil — his host from last weekend — who tweeted this a couple hours before the announcement.

He was arguably the top player at the wide receiver position on Michigan’s board in this class. With Notre Dame, Georgia and other top schools on his tail, Josh Gattis and Sherrone Moore knocked this recruitment out of the park.
Henning officially clocked in with a 4.46 40-yard dash time and a 4.08 shuttle time at The Opening Regional in April. He will fit in perfectly with Gattis’ Speed in Space offense.
The 5-foot-9.5, 182-pound receiver from Frankfort, Illinois is now Michigan’s top ranked player in the 2020 class — he comes in as the No. 80 overall prospect, No. 16 wide out and No. 1 player in his state, according to the 247Sports composite.
Michigan’s 2020 class is ranked No. 9 overall and No. 2 in the Big Ten.
