Not long after 2020 4-star running back Blake Corum committed to the Michigan Wolverines, 4-star linebacker Kalel Mullings decided to do the exact same thing.

Michigan has been recruiting Mullings arguably longer than any other prospect in the 2020 class. Don Brown and the Wolverines offered him back on Jan. 20, 2017, and he unofficially visited Ann Arbor for the first time just two months later.
During the entire recruitment, to the public’s eye at least, Mullings unofficially visited Ann Arbor five times. His official visit came last weekend, which may have sealed the deal.
Brown did a hell of a recruiting job on Mullings, with new linebackers coach Anthony Campanile doing reall good, quick work to create a relationship with a top target.
The Wolverines beat out Stanford, their main competition, for his services. He had other offers from Ohio State, Wisconsin, Michigan State, Notre Dame, Penn State, Nebraska, Texas, Tennessee and more.
The 6-foot-1, 220-pounder from Boston is the No. 148 overall prospect, No. 9 outside linebacker and No. 1 player from Massachusetts in the 2020 class, according to 247Sports’ composite.
Mullings joins 4-star Osman Savage, 3-star Nikhai Hill-Green, 3-star Cornell Wheeler and 3-star William Mohan (Viper) as other linebackers in Michigan’s 2020 class.
Michigan’s 2020 class is now ranked No. 5 overall and No. 1 in the Big Ten.
