Since the large group of St. Frances Academy players visited campus back in February, Michigan has been seen as the favorite for the blue-chip running back, whose official visit over the weekend pushed him over the edge.
Corum’s commitment gives Michigan a quartet of players on the St. Frances Academy squad, joining 4-star linebacker Osman Savage, 3-star offensive lineman Micah Mazzccua and 3-star linebacker Nikhai Hill-Green, who transferred to the school in the spring.
Corum is the highest ranked out of all of them, sitting at No. 202 in the country and No. 17 at his position. He is 5-foot-9, 180 pounds and runs a 4.44 40-yard dash. Corum will be more of an all-purpose back than a bell cow who gets the ball every down, which fits with the new offensive philosophy.
Michigan’s class has doubled in size since Sunday, and now sits eighth in the country, one spot behind Ohio State. There’s still one commitment out there left to announce, so stay tuned.
