Welcome in to another Friday Michigan Recruiting Roundup!

We are a little slow on the crootin’ front right now, but we have two updates for you today. Let’s get right to it.

2020 3-star RB scheduling game day visit to U-M

With only one running back committed to Michigan’s 2020 class, the Wolverines seem to be eyeing at least one more, and one guy that could be the one is 3-star Marvin Scott III.

He recently spoke to The Michigan Insider’s Brice Marich ($) and said he is looking to visit Michigan during a football Saturday.

“(It will be) during the season with the family. I have to see when exactly.” he said.

The 5-foot-9, 203-pounder from Port Orange, Florida, who runs a 4.54 40-yard dash, was offered by the Wolverines back in March. He holds offers from Alabama, Nebraska, Florida State, Miami (FL), South Carolina, Tennessee, Virginia Tech and more.

Update on 2020 4-star DB

With about a billion safeties committed to the Wolverines in 2020, it’s probably about time they got after at least one more cornerback. They already have 4-star in-stater Andre Seldon locked in, but who else at cornerback could potentially join them?

One corner that has been a top target of Michigan’s for a long time is 4-star Malcolm Greene, a 5-foot-10, 180-pounder from Highland Springs, Virginia.

TMI’s Marich ($) is reporting that while Michigan is expected to be one of Greene’s favorite schools, one reason he may end up going elsewhere may be proximity.

“Michigan has always been a school Greene has talked about in high regard and likes for a variety of reasons. However, I’ve also been told one factor to watch that could potentially hurt the Maize and Blue’s chances is proximity to home,” Marich reports.

With no crystal balls in at the moment, it’s anybody’s guess where Greene ends up. He does hold offers from some big time schools — Michigan, Clemson, LSU, Penn State, Notre Dame, Stanford, North Carolina, Tennessee, Virginia, Virginia Tech and more.

That’s all for this week! Check back next week for more updates on the recruiting front.
