When 2020 4-star tight end Theo Johnson had to cancel his plans last minute to visit Michigan Stadium this past Saturday for the win over Middle Tennessee State, a few eyebrows were raised initially.
But on Sunday, any concerns from the Michigan fan base were put to rest as Johnson announced his visit schedule for the 2019 season.
Things may change, but as of right now these are my visit plans. pic.twitter.com/a4LGpjMrOb

Johnson is scheduled to take an unofficial visit to Michigan on Oct. 26-27, the weekend of the Notre Dame game. Before that, he will visit Georgia on Sept. 20-22 (Notre Dame game), Miami on Oct. 4-6 (Virginia Tech game), Iowa on Oct. 12-13 (Penn State game) and Penn State Oct. 18-20 (Michigan game).
Take a close look and you’ll see Johnson will be watching Michigan two weeks in a row — at Penn State and then in Ann Arbor against Notre Dame. He also will watch the Nittany Lions two weeks in a row, as he will be visiting the Hawkeyes for their game against Penn State before the Michigan game in Happy Valley.
It probably is no coincidence this is how things played out, as it has been reported by various outlets that Johnson’s top two schools are Michigan and Penn State. But it is huge for Michigan to get him up on an unofficial for the Notre Dame game. If the Wolverines want/need to bring him back on an official, they can do so on their own dime.
