Joining Michigan on his list are Penn State and Notre Dame.
The 6-foot-6, 300-pounder from Olney, Maryland received his offer from Michigan on an unofficial visit back in April 2018. He is expected to visit Ann Arbor when Michigan takes on Notre Dame in October. He will also be visiting Penn State for the Michigan game.
The 247 crystal ball is split — 50 percent for Notre Dame and 50 percent for Penn State.
As things stand now, it appears Penn State has the early advantage for Tengwall. So how do the Wolverines jump ahead in this race? Win. Just keep winning, especially at Penn State and against Notre Dame when you have him on campus. That will open the door for Michigan to take over the recruitment.
Tengwall is the No. 1 player in the state of Maryland, No. 5 offensive tackle and No. 31 overall player in the 2021 class, per 247Sports’ composite.
