Michigan football 2021 offer board update: April 17

Michigan coaches have been busy evaluating plenty of new players in the last week.

Michigan coaches sent out a bunch of new offers this week to players at several different positions. There was a Pacific Northwest flair, with multiple offers going to players from Washington, and even more in the 2022 class. There was also some shakeup on the rankings of players with 247Sports’ latest update, so be sure to check out the board to see what’s changed.

Additions

Added J. Michael Sturdivant to the board. The four-star wide receiver from Flower Mound, Texas received his offer from Michigan on April 10.

Added Quandarius Smith to the board. The unranked running back from Gainesville, Florida received his offer from Michigan on April 10.

Added Alton McCaskill to the board. The three-star running back from Conroe, Texas received his offer from Michigan on April 10.

Added Diego Pounds to the board. The three-star offensive tackle from Raleigh, North Carolina received his offer from Michigan on April 11.

Added Will Latu to the board. The four-star athlete from Spanaway, Washington received his offer from Michigan on April 13.

Added Tobechi Okoli to the board. The three-star defensive end from Kansas City, Missouri received his offer from Michigan on April 13.

Added Malik Nabers to the board. The four-star wide receiver from Lafayette, Louisiana received his offer from Michigan on April 13.

Added William Reed to the board. The three-star offensive tackle from Sammamish, Washington received his offer from Michigan on April 14.

Added Josaiah Stewart to the board. The three-star defensive end from Everett, Massachusetts has held an offer from Michigan since Jan. 21, but just decommitted from Boston College on April 15.

Added Ceyair Wright to the board. The four-star cornerback from Los Angeles, California received his offer from Michigan on April 15.

Added Clayton Smith to the board. The four-star linebacker from Texarkana, Texas received his offer from Michigan on April 16.

Added Jaden Slocum to the board. The three-star safety from Alpharetta, Georgia received his offer from Michigan on April 16.

Subtractions

Removed Kobe King from the board. The three-star linebacker committed to Penn State on April 10.

Removed Kalen King from the board. The four-star cornerback committed to Penn State on April 10.

Removed Caleb Banks from the board. The three-star offensive tackle committed to Arizona State on April 10.

Removed Tunmise Adeleye from the board. The four-star defensive end committed to Ohio State on April 15.

Removed Pat Coogan from the board. The three-star offensive tackle committed to Notre Dame on April 15.

Top Lists

Added “Yes” to Michigan being in Jeffrey Davis’ top group of schools. The three-star cornerback included Michigan in his list of top eight schools, along with Yale, Rutgers, Tennessee, Penn State, Wake Forest, Boston College and Princeton.

Added “Yes” to Michigan being in Jahzion Harris’ top group of schools. The four-star defensive end included Michigan in his list of top five schools along with Ohio State, Texas A&M, LSU and Rutgers.

Added “No” to Michigan being in Elijah Jeudy’s top group of schools. The four-star defensive end narrowed his list of schools down to five: Georgia, Texas A&M, Tennessee, Oregon and LSU.

Added “Yes” to Michigan being in JJ Jones’ top group of schools. The three-star wide receiver included Michigan in his list of top 10 schools, along with Georgia, UNC, West Virginia, Mississippi State, Arkansas, Penn State, South Carolina, Tennessee and Virginia Tech.

Added “No” to Michigan being in Aaron Armitage’s top group of schools. The four-star defensive end narrowed his list of schools down to five: Florida, Oregon, USC, LSU, and Stanford.
