The Michigan Wolverines have added yet another member to their 2021 class — three-star defensive lineman TJ Guy.

The 6-foot-4, 240-pounder from Manfield, Massachusetts (AKA: Don Brown territory) was once committed to Boston College, but decommitted not long after Michigan swooped in with the offer. The most interesting part of his commitment is he has yet to visit campus — a telling sign of the times during this pandemic.

Guy is the ninth overall player and second defensive lineman to commit to Michigan’s 2021 class, with three-star Dominick Giudice being the first. He is also the fourth player from Massachusetts to commit to the class, joining four-star offensive lineman Greg Crippen (transferred to IMG Academy in Florida), four-star tight end Louis Hansen and three-star linebacker Casey Phinney.

With Guy and Giudice being edge rushers, Michigan is still looking to add a couple interior defensive linemen to the 2021 class, by far is biggest need in this class. Four-star Quintin Somerville is also a big-time player being target at defensive end.

Michigan now holds the No. 8 class in 2021, per 247Sports’ composite.
