Ed Warinner and the Wolverines received good news Wednesday evening when 2021 four-star in-state offensive lineman Garrett Dellinger placed Michigan on his final four list.

Michigan faces stiff competition, as Penn State, Ohio State and LSU also made his final four.

The notable omission from Dellinger’s top list is Notre Dame in favor of Ohio State. LSU and Penn State have been recruiting him hard for a while, so those schools being on the list aren’t a shocker, but Ohio State has been focusing on other offensive linemen in the 2021 class, most notably five-star JC Latham.

The 6-foot-6, 280-pounder from Clarkston has been a longtime top target for Warinner and the Wolverines. At this point, with the amount of guys they’re recruiting, I wouldn’t be surprised to see the Wolverines take in two more offensive linemen to join four-stars Raheem Anderson, Giovanni El-Hadi and Greg Crippen. They’re still looking for another tackle, and Dellinger is a tackle all the way.

LSU currently leads the 247Sports crystal ball, with all nine predictions in its favor.

Dellinger is the No. 12 offensive tackle, No. 5 player in Michigan and the No. 80 overall player in his class, per 247Sports’ composite.
