I’m starting to wonder if Michigan will end up offering any more players in the 2021 class before it’s over at this point. With them laser-focused on its remaining targets, this week’s offer board update is highly concentrated in the subtractions.

On the bright side, questions about Damon Payne and Jamari Buddin can be put to rest for good as the in-state blue-chippers committed to Alabama and Penn State, respectively. There was a lot of action among defensive tackles, with the big positive being Rayshaun Benny including Michigan in his top eight list while excluding the Buckeyes.

Subtractions

Removed Dyson McCutcheon from the board. The three-star cornerback has been committed to Washington since June 13, but Michigan was planning to keep recruiting him. A recent report indicated that is no longer the case, so I removed him from the board.

Removed Jamari Buddin from the board. The four-star linebacker committed to Penn State on July 17.

Removed Tommy Brockermeyer from the board. The five-star offensive tackle committed to Alabama on July 17.

Removed James Brockermeyer from the board. The four-star center committed to Alabama on July 17.

Removed Erin Outley from the board. The three-star tight end committed to Arkansas on July 18.

Removed Donovan McMillon from the board. The three-star safety committed to Florida on July 18.

Removed Terrence Ferguson from the board. The four-star offensive guard committed to Alabama on July 19.

Removed Prophet Brown from the board. The four-star cornerback committed to USC on July 19.

Removed James Williams from the board. The five-star safety committed to Miami on July 21.

Removed Marcus Mbow from the board. The three-star offensive tackle committed to Arizona State on July 23.

Removed Christian Burkhalter from the board. The three-star defensive end committed to Oregon on July 23rd.

Removed Elliott Donald from the board. The four-star defensive end committed to Pitt on July 24.

Removed Damon Payne from the board. The five-star defensive tackle committed to Alabama on July 26.

Removed Malik Nabers from the board. The four-star wide receiver committed to Mississippi State on July 28.

Removed Payton Page from the board. The four-star defensive tackle committed to Clemson on July 28.

Removed Desmond Watson from the board. The three-star defensive tackle committed to Florida on July 30th.

Top Lists

Added “Yes” to Michigan being in Rayshaun Benny’s top group of schools. The four-star defensive tackle included Michigan in his list of top eight schools, along with Kentucky, Michigan State, Arizona State, Arkansas, Penn State, LSU and Tennessee.
