Jim Harbaugh and the Michigan Wolverines received good news on the Fourth of July, as one of the top cornerbacks in the 2022 class included them in his top 10 list — four-star Domani Jackson.

The Wolverines were joined by Ohio State, Alabama, Clemson, LSU, Oklahoma, Georgia, Texas, USC and Arizona State.
The 6-foot-1, 185-pounder plays high school ball at powerhouse Mater Dei in Santa Ana, California, where incoming true freshman cornerback Darion Green-Warren is also from. He is also teammates with 2021 four-star wide receiver commit Cristian Dixon. Jackson has been with Mater Dei since his freshman year.
At The Opening Regional in Feb. 2019, Jackson ran a verified 4.51 40-yard dash and a 4.25 shuttle time, both of which are pretty good numbers for — at the time — a freshman.
247Sports’ Brandon Huffman praised Jackson by comparing him to former Ohio State cornerback Marshon Lattimore. Here is his evaluation:
Athletic, good-sized cornerback with speed (4.5 forty as a freshman), quickness and explosiveness. Still relatively new to the position, making the transition from receiver, but showed elite level coverage ability, ball skills, play diagnosis and closing speed. Plays with physicality, can bump and press but also play off and defend the pass. Smooth backpedal and quick hips make him a natural at cornerback. Projects as an immediate Power 5 contributor and potential NFL First Round Pick.
Jackson does not have a composite ranking yet, but 247Sports has him very high on their rankings — No. 2 in California, the No. 2 cornerback and No. 12 overall in the 2022 class.
