Jim Harbaugh and Bob Shoop both talked to 2022 five-star athlete Keon Sabb on Sept. 1, the first day college coaches could reach out to junior prospects, he told Maize n Brew.
“(They were) just checking in. I’m a very important piece to the 2022 class,” Sabb said.
Sabb also plans to talk with Shoop again on Friday.
“(Shoop is a) great guy,” Sabb said.
The 6-foot-3, 195-pound elite prospect is from Williamstown, New Jersey. He is the Wolverines’ top target at the safety position in this class, and they have been recruiting him as hard as any other school.
“(Michigan is) recruiting me hard, several schools are,” Sabb said. “Clemson, Penn State, Texas A&M, Florida State, Florida, Georgia.”
Sabb said he is “looking forward” to seeing Ann Arbor up close at some point. When that day is, he is unsure due to the pandemic. But when he is able to do so, he intends to make a visit.
Michigan seems to sit well with Sabb early on. This recruitment is just getting started, so stay tuned to Maize n Brew for all the latest news.
Sabb is the No. 13 overall player in his class on the 247Sports composite.
