Michigan lost one of the higher rated commits in the 2022 class tonight when in-state wide receiver Tayshawn Trent decommitted.

Trent committed to Michigan back in March, but there have been rumors swirling since the summer that he would not end up in the class due to some off-the-field issues.
That finally came to pass today when Trent announced his decommitment. Following the news, he immediately picked up two Crystal Ball predictions to land at Louisville, who have probably been working on him for a while. He’s also coming off a visit to Louisville this past weekend.
At 6-foot-4, 210 pounds, Trent was viewed as a jumbo wide receiver that could maybe grow into a tight end. With this news, Michigan now only has one wide receiver in the class, four-star Tyler Morris, who is coming off an ACL injury.
Michigan’s remaining wide receiver targets in the class include four-star Dane Key and three-star Amorion Walker, who could play on either side of the ball.
