On Friday afternoon, the Michigan Wolverines made it onto the top three list for in-state 2022 four-star linebacker Joshua Burnham, along with Notre Dame and Wisconsin.
The 6-foot-4, 215-pounder from Traverse City also has other offers from Alabama, Ohio State, Michigan State, Nebraska, Indiana, Iowa and others.
Michigan offered Burnham last April, and he has been a priority recruit in his class ever since. He is a near top 100 overall player, slotting in at No. 117 overall on the composite. He has yet to take in a proper visit to Ann Arbor, which may be the final thing needed in this recruitment for the Maize and Blue before securing a commitment.
As discussed on this week’s Thursday Recruiting Roundup, and first reported by The Michigan Insider’s Sam Webb ($), is really seems like Burnham is being recruited as an athlete.
“I know Josh has been in communication a couple times with the new DC, coach BJ, and Harbaugh, and they said that they’ve got him on the inside and outside linebacker boards,” Mr. Burnham said. “And they’ve put them on the tight end board. And then they even told him that he’s on the quarterback board.”
All five crystal ball predictions are in for the Wolverines at this moment, so things are definitely looking good for Jim Harbaugh and company in this recruitment.
