Taylor Groves, an athlete in the 2022 class, is one of the most recent offers to be sent out from the Michigan Wolverines and a run of crystal ball picks from 247Sports have tabbed them as the team to beat.
Groves, a four-star prospect out of Tennessee, had four picks from 247Sports experts (Sam Webb, Brice Marich, Josh Newkirk, Steve Wiltfong) come in on Thursday morning. He received an offer from co-defensive coordinator/cornerbacks coach Maurice Linguist on Jan. 24 and the relationship has apparently taken off.
Michigan is recruiting Groves to play defensive back. 247Sports has him listed as the No. 242 prospect in the country and playing safety at the next level. His other offers include LSU, Ole Miss, Tennessee, Virginia Tech, Mississippi State, Notre Dame and a host of others.
Groves said on his Instagram account that he will be committing on Friday, so it appears this one is all but set pending the official announcement.
The Wolverines have four commitments so far in the 2022 class with four-star defensive tackle Alex VanSumeren leading the way. It also features a trio of three-stars in tight end Marlin Klein, defensive tackle Davonte Miles and offensive tackle Connor Jones.
