2022 four-star ATH Kody Jones commits to Michigan

Michigan lands its second DB from Tennessee on Friday.

It’s a two-for-one commitment day for Michigan football, with four-star athlete Kody Jones announcing his decision at the same time as fellow Tennesseean Taylor Groves.

Jones was offered by Michigan back on January 19th, as part of Maurice Linguist’s first wave of offers. The offer immediately jumped Michigan into his top ten, and it clearly didn’t take him long to make his decision to commit to the Wolverines.

Ranked as the No. 279 player in the country and the No. 15 athlete, Michigan sees Jones as a defensive back. His 5-foot-11.5, 180-pound frame looks best suited for the safety or nickel cornerback role, but he could be moved around.

Jones chose Michigan over a list of finalists that included Notre Dame, Oklahoma, Ole Miss, Tennessee, Oregon, and others.

Michigan’s 2022 class now has six commitments, with two of them ticketed for the defensive backfield. Check out Jones’ highlight reel below:
