Michigan linebackers coach George Helow has hit the state of Florida hard on the recruiting trail since his arrival in Ann Arbor. He has offered a ton of Floridian players, particularly in the Jacksonville area. On Friday, he extended an offer to 2022 three-star linebacker Omar Graham Jr, a 6-foot-1, 205-pounder from Fort Lauderdale.

This was their first ever conversation, and it left a good impression on Graham Jr.

“He’s very straight forward,” he told Maize n Brew. “(Getting the offer) was amazing cause Michigan is an amazing school.”

Graham Jr. admits he is now “very interested” in the Wolverines now after getting the offer. Other schools he has high interest in include Florida State, Auburn, Penn State, Miami, South Carolina and more.

Asked where Michigan sits among those schools, Graham Jr. said, “They sit at my top five schools.”

When it comes to what he looks for in his future school, Graham Jr. wants the best of everything.

“Good development, good relationship with the staff, academics and being around people I can trust,” Graham Jr. said.

He and his family continue to work on setting up a visit schedule this summer. He isn’t sure exactly where he is going to go, but he hopes to hit multiple schools.

Graham Jr. is the No. 36 outside linebacker, No. 75 player in Florida and No. 564 overall player in the 2022 class, per 247Sports’ composite. You can check out some of his most recent highlights below.
