The Michigan football program hosted a plethora of prospects over the weekend in the 2022 class on official visits, but it also hosted kids from the regional area on Sunday for a football camp at the Big House.
One local prospect who Michigan coaches saw a couple weeks ago at the Ferris State camp who got an invite to this past weekend’s Ann Arbor camp was 2022 Belleville linebacker Aaron Alexander. The 6-foot-1, 205-pound linebacker shined at both camps, and earned a scholarship offer from head coach Jim Harbaugh himself.
“Man it felt unreal, it still feels unreal to be honest,” Alexander told Maize n Brew. “Ever since a kid Michigan has been a distant dream and just recently I closed that distance.”

With his only other offers coming from Eastern Illinois and Marshall, Alexander made it abundantly clear who is at the top of his list after the recent offer.
“Michigan really is all I’m about,” he said.
Alexander said he is hoping to have a commitment decision made before the start of his senior season. In the meantime, he admits he is looking for “great academics, great sports and most importantly a family dynamic,” out of his future college program.
A crystal ball is already in for the Wolverines to land Alexander. If I had one, I would have put one in as well.
At this point, Michigan has zero linebackers committed in this recruiting cycle. It’s a position group the coaches are looking to really hit in this cycle, with offers gone out to more than 40 linebackers. Could Alexander be the first? We’ll probably know sooner rather than later, so stay tuned for more news on his recruitment.
