Miles, who is a three-star prospect and the No. 958 player in the country per the 247Sports Composite, had been committed to Michigan since December. He did not cite a reason for reopening his recruitment and thanked the Wolverines staff for their time. He also says he will play out his high school football and basketball seasons and not enroll early wherever he goes.
Miles also has an offer sheet that includes Indiana, Iowa State, Kentucky, Michigan State, Minnesota, Pittsburgh, Syracuse and West Virginia. It remains unclear at this time where his recruitment may go next, but he will not be attending Michigan as of now.
This drops Michigan’s number to 15 commits in the 2022 class, which is currently headlined by five-star cornerback Will Johnson and four-star wide receiver Tyler Morris. Coming into the day, the class had ranked 13th in the country and third in the Big Ten behind Ohio State and Penn State.
