Over the weekend, Courtney Morgan and the Michigan Wolverines officially threw their hat into the ring of the recruitment for 2022 three-star defensive tackle Mason Graham.

The 6-foot-3, 280-pounder hails from Anaheim and has been committed to Boise State since July. Despite that commitment, Graham is keeping all options open, especially after the Michigan offer.

“I’m not sure right now about my recruitment — just trying to take everything in right now,” Graham told Maize n Brew after getting the Michigan offer.

Michigan’s recruitment of Graham began this past Friday. Morgan reached out to him to let him know the Wolverines like the way he plays. He was told the staff was going to watch his film and they’d be in touch. Two days later, he received the good news.

“It was awesome,” Graham said. “I was talking with coach Morgan and coach (Biff) Poggi. I was very excited and happy for them offering me. They were awesome to talk to and they sounded sincere about everything.”

Next up in Graham’s recruitment is getting out to Ann Arbor for a visit. When exactly that will be is still up in the air, but it will be an official visit at some point for a game.

Up to this point, he’s only taken one official visit so far this summer — Oregon State. He doesn’t have any other visits lined up, but did admit he plans to officially visit Boise State at some point in the near future.

Needless to say, Michigan has a real opportunity in this recruitment.
