Brandon Peters was carted off the field at Camp Randall Stadium on Saturday after sustaining an apparent head injury. Michigan fans were seeing signs of life from the offense before the injury occurred, but that quickly came to a halt when Peters exited the game. Peters’ CT scan was negative and he flew home on Saturday with his teammates, but he remains in the concussion protocol.

Jim Harbaugh provided some positive news on Monday afternoon in his weekly press conference regarding the progress of Brandon Peters and provided more details about the concussion protocol in general.

Peters was also spotted by WXYZ’s Brad Galli when Galli and his team were wrapping up his weekly show "Inside Michigan Football" radio show with Jim Harbaugh.

With Peters’ progress, Jim Harbaugh and staff are staying optimistic but the team still must wait until he is officially cleared before returning to practice - which could come within the next few days. On Galli’s show Harbaugh said, "He was 50% better, so [he] made great strides in 24 hours."

“It's totally in the doctor's hands, you hope for the best," He told WXYZ’s Brad Galli on Monday afternoon. "You prepare both ways, for him to be there, and next man up, we'll prepare both ways.”

John O’Korn is the man who will likely start on Saturday, unless Peters is able to return to practice soon. Wilton Speight could also conceivably be in the mix, but the latest reports still have him as a non-contact participant in practice. We will monitor the progress of both quarterbacks throughout the week
